Welcome to Muntinlupa City for a quick reality check. In a world of high-tech gadgets and ‘smart’ tactics, I’m constantly reminded that my best plans are no match for Mayet’s ‘Ancestral Intelligence.’ Today’s mission: Trying out a new strategy without getting roasted by the boss of the house.

executive accountability partner

Lolo Melvyn: “From now on, I have a new official role in this house. I’m the Executive Accountability Partner.”

Lola Mayet: “Good. That means you are officially accountable for washing the dishes later.”

Lolo Melvyn: “I guess that makes me the… Executive Dishwasher.”

The Savage Reality: No title is too high for a husband who values a happy home.

Tactical After-Action Review (AAR)

In my professional life, I have held many high-level titles. As a Strategic Advisor, I’ve sat in boardrooms and mapped out the futures of major companies. But at home, as an Accountability Partner, I’ve learned that the most important “executive decisions” are often made at the kitchen sink.

We live in a world where everyone wants a fancy title. We want to be “Chiefs,” “Directors,” and “Partners.” We chase these labels because they make us feel important. But true leadership isn’t about the nameplate on your desk; it’s about your willingness to serve the people you love. If you can’t serve your family, you aren’t really leading them.

To my fellow Boomers: Never think you are “too big” for small chores. Humility is the ultimate sign of a life well-lived.

To the Millennials and Gen Z: Don’t get so caught up in building your “Personal Brand” that you neglect the people who built you. Real power is shown when you put down the ego and pick up the dishcloth.

A title is just words. Actions are the only language that matters. If my wife needs a partner, I am honored to be whatever title she needs me to be—even if it’s the Executive Dishwasher.

Deepen Your Strategy: Building a legacy starts with character, not business cards. If you want to learn how to lead with humility and strength, read my book, “THE FUTURE YOU FORMULA.” You can find it and other tactical guides at https://melvynccvalenzuela.com/
